My name is Alexandre Lega
I am a French National who now lives in Singapore.
Formerly a banker with Calyon in London where I was marketing Structured Products to Alternative Funds managers I started up Halcons Pte Ltd in 2006 in order to develop cross border transactions between Europe and Asia.
I keep good memories of my time as a banker as it was challenging and fun at the same time.
It really helped me have an understanding of what “work under pressure” meant
Through various projects and business plans I wrote (for myself and others) I have developed a good understanding of models (Discounted CF, Discounted Dividend…) and I am still interested in Financing activities, Real Estate and Asset Management.
I believe that the articles you can find on this blog can show you how versatile Excel can be.
Just using a few “new” functions can change your whole experience of the software and even make it fun.
Adding uncertainty to your spreadsheets using Monte Carlo simulations can also help you make the “right” decisions and be able to talk a language that Risk Managers understand! After all, don’t you just want to maximize your returns and minimize your risk exposure?
Other than that I like sports, languages and all sorts of games (Backgammon/Checkers and Go have my preference these days)
I am interested in having a feedback from you on this modest blog.
